Alex Watt

Alex is a solicitor who works primarily with the creative industries.

Alex regularly advises on every type of IP transaction including: licensing, franchising, software agreements, advertising issues, supply and distribution issues, brand strategy, event agreements and sponsorship.

He has worked on secondment in-house with Universal Pictures, the Telegraph Media Group, Equitable Life and the BBC. He has worked in the interactive games industry, the music industry as well as the television industry where he has also advised on-set.

His contentious practice has included work on a variety of technology and IP disputes, such as trade mark infringement and domain name disputes. He is experienced in various forms of alternative dispute resolution as well as proceedings in the High Court and has particular experience in the discrete areas of defamation and privacy (Sienna Miller v Big Pictures and Darryn Lyons).
