Princess Alia Idris Al-Senussi graduated Brown University Magna Cum Laude in International Relations (honors) and Middle East Studies. Alia holds an MA in Political Science from Brown and an MSc in Law, Anthropology and Society from the London School of Economics.
Alia is co-chair of the Parasol Future Unit, a group ambassador for the Tate’s Young Patrons Group (representing this group to the Patrons Board), and a committee member of the Serpentine Gallery Future Contemporaries. Alia is a founding member of the Tate Committee for Middle Eastern and North African Acquisitions and the Board of Patrons of Art Dubai.
Alia works with Generation Three Family Partners and is the VIP Relations Manager Middle East for Art Basel and Art Basel Miami Beach and a contributing editor at Tank Magazine. Alia is currently involved in setting up the Libyan Heritage Trust with Global Heritage Fund.
