Emily Guille-Marrett

Reading builds a framework for a bright future. Give your child a head start today!” Reading Fairy’s fun classes teach babies, toddlers and school starters how to read and love books. Its progressive programme gives children a head start by developing crucial building blocks for learning to read as they grow. Our classes include: sensory songs and storytelling, chatter that matters, first phonics, early reading skills and our selection of the best rhymes, poetry, traditional tales and picture books to nurture reading success. Latest government research shows that the home environment makes the biggest impact on a child’s reading and future academic success. Reading Fairy embeds in-class and online advice for mums and carers so we can help them when they need us. (New website coming soon.) Reading Fairy founder Emily Guille-Marrett has commissioned leading school and home reading products at Oxford University Press, Pearson Education and Penguin Children’s books (Ladybird). She has been lucky enough to have published phonics and early reading experts Debbie Hepplewhite, Roderick Hunt MBE, and Charlotte Raby. One of Emily’s favourite projects was working with leading educationalist Pie Corbett to bring classic picture books, such as Rosie’s Walk and Mr Gumpy’s Outing, to interactive whiteboards in schools. Reading software Emily has published has won awards, including being shortlisted for a prestigious BETT award.
