I trained (that’s me, Nancy Nicholson) in graphic design at Maidstone College of Art, and went on to study fine art textiles for my masters degree at The Royal College of Art. I have established a reputation for my work in textiles, while more recently I have been designing in paper and card. The breadth of my work is reflected in this site.My recent range of interactive stationery and sew kits uses my own designs as well as taking inspiration from my late mother Joan Nicholson’s work, produced in the 1960s and 1970s.

I believe emphatically in using visual creativity to inspire and motivate children at school. I have two artist residency posts at local schools and continue to work actively in education wherever I can.
