School for Creative Startups launches an array of scholarships and bursaries for budding creative entrepreneurs

Doug Richard’s School for Creative Startups is proud to announce an array of new bursaries and scholarships in partnership with The Duke of York, the Equity Charitable Trust and the School for Creative Startups Angel Society. Access to world class business skills training is now easier than ever.

These packages of financial support create even more opportunities for creative entrepreneurs to access School for Creative Startups’ innovative training and support programme, empowering individuals within the sector to harness their talents and realise their business dreams.

His Royal Highness has funded three different packages of financial support for students applying to the course for entryinto the 2013/2014 programme. These include The British Made Bursary, The British Export Bursary and The British Culture Bursary. The Duke of York is committed to supporting entrepreneurship and creative enterprise in the UK and these new bursaries reflect his ongoing support for School for Creative Startups.

Set up by Equity, the trade union for actors and performers, Equity Charitable Trust is offering a generous scholarship that will grant the full tuition, plus a contribution towards travel expenses, for the 2013/14 School for Creative Startups programme. The scholarship is designed to support experienced and established performers who have an ambition to start a creative business.

Founded in 2012 by Doug Richard, The School for Creative Startups Angel Society is a collection of Angel investors with a strong interest in discovering and investing in some of the UK’s the most promising creative startups. The Angel Society is offering a limited number of bursaries for the 2013/14 programme based on financial need. During the year, successful applicants are also given the opportunity to meet the School for Creative Startups’ Angels.

To be considered, applicants are invited to complete their applications before 1 July 2013.
