We know that it’s sometimes hard to pull together all the funds you need when you’re starting out. To help ease the financial tension School for Creative Startups have teamed up with some lovely and generous partners to offer an array of Scholarship and Bursaries.

Scholarships

The Equity Charitable Trust is pleased to offer a very generous scholarship named in their honour, which will grant the full tuition worth £3500 plus £500 towards travel expenses, for entry into the 2013 School for Creative Startups programme. Over the past twenty five years, the Equity Charitable Trust has provided educational bursaries which have helped hundreds of actors, stage managers and other performers develop a new skill set, gain qualifications and make a fresh professional start.

Funding Eligibility

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must already have a minimum of ten years professional experience as an actor, stage manager or performer together with a sincere ambition to start a new business, which can be completely separate from your professional past. You’ll need to be able provide us with a current performing CV, as well as information about your income and a strong case for why you need funding support for this programme.

***Please note: Musicians, drama students and amateur performers do not qualify.

How to Apply:

All you have to do is complete the standard online application form uploading your professional CV in the appropriate section. Next select the scholarship or bursary you’d like to be considered for from the drop down menu and supply a supporting statement explaining how you fit the criteria and why you need funding support.

Bursaries

School for Creative Startups is proud to offer a bursary of £2,500 towards fees for entry into the 2013/14 programme. This bursary is created with a contribution from The Duke of York who is a strong supporter of initiatives that support entrepreneurs. HRH hopes to have the opportunity to meet successful applicants. Funding is available towards tuition fees only.

Funding Eligibility

There’s specific eligibility criteria for this funded place. In order to be eligible your startup or idea will need to encompass, promote, celebrate or work with British produce, materials or production and will be awarded to an applicant who best fits the criteria and is most in need of funding support. Please note that you will need to provide us with details about your limited income and why you would benefit from funding support.

School for Creative Startups is pleased to offer a limited number of bursaries of £2,500 towards fees for entry into the 2013/14 programme, named in honour of our very own School for Creative Startups Angel Society comprised of a group of angel investors with a special interest in the creative sector. Funding is available towards tuition fees only.

In addition to the support offered by this group, successful applicants will be invited to meet our Angels during the 2013/14 academic year.

Funding Eligibility

These bursaries are awarded simply on greatest financial need. You will need to provide us with details of your limited income and make a strong case for why you need funding support.
