I’m Sarah Lantry, founder of Attitude to Food. I’ve had a plant based diet for the last twenty-five years and nutrition is something I’ve always been passionate about. So, I enrolled at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in NYC, graduated in 2009 and haven’t looked back since. I love feeling good in my body and now I teach other people how to get a better Attitude to Food so that they optimize how good they feel too. My raw chocolates and desserts were borne out of getting clients into the kitchen to make something that is usually associated with guilt. Instead I empower and liberate because raw chocolate is a super food so everything is delicious and nutritious. Those one-to-one classes turned into group classes and I trained over seven hundred people to make chocolate in 2012. Now I’m selling raw chocolates, desserts, cookies and superfood treats at Cabbages and Frocks Market, just off of lovely Marylebone High Street in very central London too. I wanted to make food that was yummy because if it’s not delicious I don’t want to eat it …so that’s what I do, I make rich, sweet and creamy plant based food that I love …and by accident developed recipes that just happen to be dairy-free, sugar-free, soy-free and gluten-free. Things have gone from strength to strength and I developed a series of Everyday Raw Food Classes and Real Food Feasts. For me it’s never about some crazy fad diet, rather tweaks and changes to my Attitude to Food. I get asked a lot if I’m 100% raw and I’m not. I love it, and I integrate it into my diet when it feels right. The rest of the time, I eat real food that’s as close to the way Mother Nature provides it …and I’m human so sometimes I enjoy the occasional weak moment too! Food really can be our medicine. Food is powerful …it’s the most proactive form of health insurance money can buy.
