Survival Arts: design for the wild things. We create beautiful products celebrating and supporting endangered species conservation worldwide. Suvival Arts is the brainchild of two women: spectacled bear expert and artist Dr Susanna Paisley, together with textile whiz and award-winning children’s charity founder Kate Coleman. They realised that, while there is a seemingly unlimited appetite for fauna and flora in surface design, rarely are links made to real animals, never mind the many fabulous species that are hanging on by their fingernails/claws/suckers/etc… There’s a time and a place for teddy bears, Hello Kitty and generalised birdies, but we think the time has come to start showing the wild things a bit more love. Our products and our educational work challenges people to see these creatures through new eyes. Survival Arts inspires people, and especially children, to be engaged with the natural world, as animal-loving artists, activists and adventurers.
