Mais Um Discos produces music releases, events and collaborations from the most exciting Brazilian artists who fuse Brazilian styles with rock, dub, baroque, African guitar music, electronic programming and much more. Whether it's electro-acoustic pioneer Lucas Santtana, folk vanguardista Siba or novo-tropicalistas Graveola, the artists we work with shatter the stereotypes around Brazilian and/or world music.
Mais Um was launched in 2010 with the internationally acclaimed compilation ‘Oi! A Nova Musica Brasileira!’ and consolidated it’s position as the new force for Brazilian music in 2011 with it’s debut artist signing Lucas Santtana who was widely praised as the ‘Brazilian’ artist of the year. 2012 has seen 2 further European tours for Santtana and an album of global collaborations plus the release of ‘A Curva Da Cintura’, the groundbreaking collaborative project between Toumani Diabate and Arnaldo Antunes and Edgard Scandurra. 2013 looks to be Mais Um’s biggest year yet though with new signings Siba and Graveola, with more projects to be announced…
