Strange Fruit Greeting Cards
I am Denise Rawls and I am a mixed media and collage artist working from my tiny studio in east London.
I have used my growing collection of vintage photographs to create a unique range of greeting cards which embrace our modern and multicultural society, I wholesale my cards through my business Strange Fruit. I love how antique photos hold on to past emotions. Using old images to create new ones which play a major part in creating more happy memories is a delightfully creative honour.
My cards are stocked in House of Fraser and independent card and gift shops as well as museums and bookshops across the UK and America.
I have been really fortunate to be featured in the Telegraph magazine recently, as a result I have gained new stockists and got lots of positive feedback from all sorts of people. My next steps are to grow the range, add new products, meet more stockists and find the time to bake and eat more cake.
