Art Below Ltd
Art Below is a London based public art enterprise. It was founded in 2006 by Ben Moore. With a wide range of international artists and its various campaigns in cities worldwide, the organization has an important position within the movement of contemporary art in public space.
Art Below uses billboard space in underground stations to display artworks in London and overseas. Brothers Simon and Ben Moore first experimented with this idea by displaying the works of their friends on billboard space in major stations in the London underground. Since then the group has nurtured an international community of artistic talent and has displayed the works of over 2000 artists.
Our mission: To enrich the everyday life of the traveling public by giving fresh insight into the very latest in art, illustration, fashion and photography, whilst at the same time providing a platform for emerging and established talent.
We play host to a rich and diverse portfolio of talent including Alison Jackson, Paul Fryer, Mat Collishaw, Billy Childish, Banksy, Ben Eine, and Max Hattler.
In 2011 we launched 'Art in Motion' enabling artists who work in motion picture to showcase their work on digital projection screens in the London Underground.
Art Below run an ongoing creative membership program where benefits include being able to choose exactly what London Station you would like to have your work displayed in. Our underground exhibitions run hand in hand with group shows where the artists exhibit their original work in a gallery setting. Previous exhibitions have been held at The V&A, The Candid Arts Trust, and The Hospital Club.
