BOXANDLADDER is a design-led permanent retail platform that will offer emerging designers the opportunity to showcase, sell their work and test the marketplace at a low risk and investment for a weekly licence fee.
BOXANDLADDER is about a new collaborative retail that respects designers, understands the production process and its constraints and praises creativity and innovation.
We ‘d like to think we are more of a popup shop rather than a static store. A sort of designer market with boxes instead of stalls, a market with walls; a micro-world of wonders, a place to meet, greet and browse new ideas, designs, people and tales that will transform your shopping habits. A hub for young designers and a haven for design enthusiasts that crave original and quirky new finds.
Like in every other market you should expect each box to be different and unique. The store will be originally segmented to include a mix of products including furniture, homewares, lighting, stationery, prints and fashion accessories. We give designers creative licence to present their products the way they want and we don’t judge. You do! People come and go and product changes seasonally. That’s what keeps us fresh…
