She was responsible for the media launch of The Economist in America and was a Director at WWF. Her PR agency experience was gained through Burson Marsteller.
Since 1998 Geraldine has run a number of small media consultancies with a wide variety of clients. She has been President of the Media Society, Chair of Forum UK [IWF] On the Board of Theatre 503, Associate Critical Eye and a Specialist Business Mentor at The Prince’s Trust.
“I wasn’t a natural entrepreneur but I’ve always believed in taking chances, moving forward, taking that plunge. I wouldn’t be here if I hadn’t. However I didn’t start my own communications business till 1998 and it was small and bespoke. It’s emphasis changed as the clients needs changed and I moved into training and mentoring.
I’m starting again with a fresh idea, it’s small right now but that is the challenge. Is it viable? Can I make it work? So being part of the School for Creative Start-ups and helping others kick start is part of my vision.”
