Melissa Belcher was a Senior Buyer at Topshop with 12 years experience on the buying floor. Traveled globally in search of inspiration, product research & factory sourcing. Developed multi product knowledge throughout her career, currently specializing in Denim, Jeans & Casual shorts. Mel was an integral member to the Topshop HQ, backing new trends with conviction, trading product to ensure profit growth and supporting the heritage of British fashion.
January 2014 saw Melissa introduce her own clothing line, Bethnals - a new revolution of style undefined by gender and convention. Inspired by fit, detail and the diverse cultural hub that is London, Bethnals offers the perfect fit in one unisex jean.
Bethnals presents a new generation of denim cut to work with both the male and female silhouette, where considered quality and timeless fit do not fall short. Bethnals is not a brand influenced by trends, but instead follow it’s own path where time-honoured design and clean-cut staples are crafted to live beyond the season ahead.
“I have been involved with S4CS for the last 2 years helping with workshops and offering advise to any students who are trying to break into the fashion world.
