Parminder Vir
Parminder Vir OBE, Director of PVL Media, facilitating business with emerging markets (Africa, Asia, Latin America and Middle East) in Media, Creative Industries and Education sectors. An award winning film and television producer, Parminder has worked for BBC, ITV, Channel Four, major international channels and Formation Films, her own independent film and television. She is consultant with Ascension Media Group; NED Goldcrest Films; Board Member UKTI Asia Task Force; Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneur. Previously served as NED of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (2006-2010); Founder Board Director of UK India Business Council (2004-2009); Board Director UK Film Council (1999-2005); Co-Founder of the Cultural Diversity Network (2000).
Awards include an honorary Master of Arts, in recognition of contributions to International film industry, University for the Creative Arts in 2010; an OBE for services to the Broadcasting and Film industry 2002; the Asian Women of Achievement Award 2001.
